37-year-old Paret Agrawei, who is currently serving as chief technology officer after Twitter founder Jack Dawsey stepped down as CEO, will become CEO. He came to Twitter in 2011 and became CTO in 2017. He was born in Mumbai, India. Before Twitter, he worked at AT&T. He also worked in research at Microsoft and Yahoo.
Mars’ tweet has thrown the spotlight on Indians at the helm of America’s top tech giants. There are many Indian-born tech CEOs leading the US tech world. I would like to share about some of the famous Indian-born tech CEOs.

Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan is popularly known as Sundar Pichai. Born in Madras, India, he is the CEO of one of America’s leading technology giants, Google and its parent company, Alphabet Inc. After graduating from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metal casting engineering, he received a master’s degree in material sciences and engineering from Stanford University in the United States. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Since 2004, as a product manager at Google, he has worked on famous Google products such as Google Chrome. Led Chrome OS and Google Drive projects. From 2015, he led Google as CEO, and in 2019, he became CEO of Alphabet.
2. Satya Nadella

Sataya Nadella is the third CEO of Microsoft, after Bill Gates and Steve Boma. He also came to Microsoft in 1992.
Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India, and graduated from the Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka with a degree in electrical engineering. He received a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Miwalki. He later earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
3. Arvind Krishna

Arvind Krishna, who was appointed as the CEO of IBM in January last year, came to IBM in the 1990s. From the position of General Manager in IBM Information Management Software Systems to Senior Vice President at IBM Research. Later, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of IBM Cloud.
Krishna holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois.
4. Shantanu Narayen

Hyderabad-born Shantanu Narayen is the CEO of Adobe Inc and has led the company’s overall transformation since 2007. During his tenure, IBM was able to move toward a well-developed digital software division. His life before Adobe was full of stories.
In 1998, he became Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Development, and in 1986, he worked at Measurex Automation Systems, a Silicon Valley start-up. He then joined Apple from 1989 to 1995 and in 1996 founded Pictra Inc, a digital photo-sharing platform on the Internet.
Narayen is a graduate of Osmani University, Hyderabad. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from the University College of Engineering and a master’s degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Later, Berkeley received an MBA from the University of California Haas School of Business.
5. Nikesh Arora

At Palo Alto Networks, Arora has served as CEO since 2018. Before, Google He worked in large companies such as SoftBank and has risen to the position of CEO at SoftBank Internet and Media Inc and vice president of SoftBank Corp.
Education: Graduated from Banaras Hindu University Institute of Technology, MBA from Northeastern University, and M.Sc. from Boston College.
