Apple CEO said that starting from 2024, they will use US-made chips

In the next few years, Apple will buy only US-made chips, Tim Cook said.

During a business trip to Germany, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, “We have made a decision to buy a factory in Arizona. The Arizona factory will start operating in 2024, so it could be two years earlier. According to Bloomberg, the Arizona TSMC plant is set to open in 2024 and will start producing 5nm chips, a generation lower than the technology currently used in Apple products. In the beginning, 20,000 5nm chips will be produced per month. This will not satisfy Apple’s high-end 3nm chip production goal.

The US government is offering attractive incentives to chip makers to increase chip production in the country.
