The world’s first foldable iPhone not made by Apple

Chinese engineers have just developed a foldable iPhone that is expected to be released after 2024.

More than 200 days of tests. After research and development, it came out as a custom foldable iPhone. A group of Chinese YouTubers called Tech Aesthetics has revealed the foldable Motorola Razr 2019 body. I have created an iPhone that can fold the screen by combining the hinge and iPhone X internals.

This iPhone, which can be folded in half in the style of the Galaxy Z Flip, is named iPhone V and has been repeatedly tested and developed for a year. iPhone V is a foldable phone that can be used, and due to the lack of internal space, the battery power is only 1000mAh. A speaker has also been removed. Wireless charging and MagSafe components have been removed, so there is no wireless charging like modern iPhones, and MagSafe is not supported.

During this time, the Tech Aesthetics team also built a custom motherboard for the iPhone V using 3D printed parts. The iPhone X was stripped of its internal components and redesigned to fit the foldable Motorola Razr body. It took up to 37 iPhone X screens to make a usable iPhone V. Installed iOS system and added Cutsom Software by Jaibreak to get a foldable interface.

More than 200 days of tests. After a series of failures, the iPhone V, created by Chinese developers, appeared as a prototype. The Tech Aesthetics team will continue to improve the iPhone V design and development process, and this version is designated as version 0.1.
